These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tucheze Charades mobile application (“the Game”) developed and operated by Kanga Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing or using the Game you agree to be bound by these Terms. They also cover your use of our website at tucheze-charades.com.

Who may use the Game. Anyone may play in guest mode. To create an account with Google or Apple you must be 18 or older, or have the consent of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and your child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

1. About the Game

Tucheze Charades is a Kenyan-themed party charades game. Players hold the phone on their forehead, tilt forward to mark a word as guessed correctly, and tilt back to pass. The Game features configurable round timers (30 / 60 / 90 / 120 seconds), multiple word decks (including Kenyan culture, Sheng slang, movies, animals, and more), adjustable tilt sensitivity, and difficulty levels.

2. Accounts

2.1 Guest Accounts

A guest account is created automatically the first time you open the Game. No personal information is required. Guest accounts have full access to gameplay.

2.2 Signing In with Google or Apple

You may optionally sign in with Google or Apple to preserve your account across devices. Your display name and profile picture are used inside the Game and are shown to another person only in the situations described in our Privacy Policy. You may sign out or delete your account at any time from the Settings screen.

2.3 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Upon deletion, everything that identifies you is permanently erased and all active sessions are invalidated. Your past game records are kept in a form that is no longer linked to you — our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is erased, what is kept, and why, and how to ask us to remove the rest.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or exploits to manipulate scores.
• Circumvent security measures or rate limits.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game.
• Use offensive, hateful, or impersonating display names. We reserve the right to reset such names without notice.
• Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data.

4. Scores

Scores are recorded per game session and kept with your account. We reserve the right to remove, reset, or recalculate scores at our discretion — including but not limited to suspected cheating, exploitation of bugs, or coordinated score manipulation.

5. Our Intellectual Property

The Game itself — our official word decks, the Kenyan and Swahili cultural content and Sheng vocabulary we have compiled, audio assets, visual designs, logos, and source code — is the property of Kanga Studios or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written consent.

This section covers our content. Content you create yourself is dealt with in section 6, and stays yours.

6. Content You Create

6.1 You Keep Ownership

Decks you write remain yours. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of them to us, and you may delete them at any time.

6.2 Permission You Give Us

So that the Game can do what you ask of it, you give us permission to store your deck, display it back to you, and — only where you have chosen to share or publish it — show it to the people you shared it with, or to other players if you submit it for publication and we approve it.

This permission is worldwide and royalty-free, is limited to operating the Game, and ends for any given deck when you delete it or make it private again — except for copies already downloaded to a player’s device for offline play, which we cannot reach.

6.3 What You Promise Us

By creating a deck you confirm that you have the right to use its contents, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trade mark, privacy or other rights.

6.4 What You May Not Submit

Decks must not contain:

• Sexually explicit material, or content depicting or promoting violence
• Hate speech, harassment, or content attacking a person or group
• A private person’s personal details
• Content that is unlawful under Kenyan law

We may remove or refuse to publish any deck, and may suspend accounts that repeatedly submit content of this kind.

6.5 Reporting a Problem

If you believe a deck infringes your rights or breaches these standards, email [email protected] with enough detail to identify it. We will review it and remove it where appropriate.

7. Content Standards

Tucheze Charades is a family-friendly game, presented in English and Swahili/Sheng.

Our official decks are written and curated by us to respect Kenyan cultural values, and are free from offensive, violent or sexually explicit material.

Decks created by players are subject to the standards in section 6.4. Decks submitted for publication are reviewed by us before any other player can see them. A deck shared privately by code is not reviewed — it goes directly from its author to the people they gave the code to, so treat a shared deck as content from that person rather than from us. Report anything that breaches our standards and we will act on it.

8. Offline Use

Decks you have already opened are kept on your device for about a day, so you can go on playing them without an internet connection. A new installation needs a connection the first time it runs, and anything that depends on connectivity — account management, fetching new decks, publishing and sharing — is unavailable offline.

9. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in cheating, or use the Game in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you, but are not obligated to do so.

10. Disclaimers

The Game is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Game is at your sole risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Kanga Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Game, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or device damage.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kanga Studios, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Game, or any content you create or share through it.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice within the Game or on this page. Your continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
