Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Tucheze Charades mobile application (“the Game”) developed and operated by Kanga Studios (“we”, “us”, “our”). By installing or using the Game you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About the Game

Tucheze Charades is a Kenyan-themed party charades game. Players hold the phone on their forehead, tilt forward to mark a word as guessed correctly, and tilt back to pass. The Game features configurable round timers (30 / 60 / 90 / 120 seconds), multiple word decks (including Kenyan culture, Sheng slang, movies, animals, and more), adjustable tilt sensitivity, and difficulty levels.

2. Accounts

2.1 Guest Accounts

A guest account is created automatically the first time you open the Game. No personal information is required. Guest accounts have full access to gameplay and the leaderboard.

2.2 Google Sign-In

You may optionally sign in with Google to preserve your identity across devices. When you do, your Google display name and profile picture will be visible on the leaderboard. You may sign out or delete your account at any time from the Settings screen.

2.3 Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Upon deletion, your personal data is permanently removed, your leaderboard entry is erased, and all active sessions are invalidated. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated scripts, bots, or exploits to manipulate scores.
  • Circumvent security measures or rate limits.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Game.
  • Use offensive, hateful, or impersonating display names. We reserve the right to reset such names without notice.
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data.

4. Leaderboard

Scores are cumulative across game sessions. The top 100 players are displayed publicly with their display name, avatar (if set), score, and rank. We reserve the right to remove, reset, or recalculate leaderboard entries at our discretion — including but not limited to suspected cheating, exploitation of bugs, or coordinated score manipulation.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the Game — including word decks, Kenyan and Swahili cultural content, Sheng vocabulary, audio assets, visual designs, logos, and source code — is the property of Kanga Studios or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from any Game content without our prior written consent.

6. Content Standards

Tucheze Charades is a family-friendly game. All word decks are curated to respect Kenyan cultural values. Content is presented in English and Swahili/Sheng. We commit to keeping the Game free from offensive, violent, or sexually explicit material.

7. Offline Use

The Game includes 7 built-in word decks that work without an internet connection. Features that require connectivity (leaderboard, additional decks, account management) will be unavailable offline.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in cheating, or use the Game in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you, but are not obligated to do so.

9. Disclaimers

The Game is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Game is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Kenyan law, Kanga Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Game, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of goodwill, or device damage.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kanga Studios, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Game.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice within the Game or on this page. Your continued use of the Game after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
